Bowen’s Legacy

At Bowen Jewelry Company we are dedicated to empowering our fellow community members to thrive. We are a single family-owned and operated business, and have proudly served Central Virginia and the Lynchburg area since 1933, for almost 90 years.

Three Generations for 90 Years

Bowen Jewelry Company was founded by Charles Wesley Bowen, Jr. in 1936. Bowen was known as the “watch inspector” for three railroads and most of Northern and Central VA. Brian H. M. Bowen in 1946 as store manager in 1946 after returning home from WWII. Bowen Jewelry Company continued to grow and moved into their current location on Main St in Lynchburg VA. Brian H.M. Jr., joined Bowen in 1989 with gusto and quickly became a Certified Gemologist/Appraiser and earned titles of AGS and RJ. He continues to grow the company with his son Mason Bowen. He is ever thankful for the loyal customers and devote staff who continue the legacy alongside him.
